Thread: Sliced, Diced and Dehydrated

  1. Sliced, Diced and Dehydrated

Harvest time is wonderful. Commercial ventures need to bottle the mouth watering smells that originate in the kitchen and other areas of our home this time of the year. They'd make a fortune luring folks to buy their food products or coming in to eat.

Food dehydration is a large part of our canning and storage plan and process each year. Read about the current activities on our LDS Preppers Northmoutain Blog here.

Thanks for the great blog post. We just got a new dehydrator and are anxious to try it out. We have used our oven for years, but finally decided to "upgrade"

Enjoy your new dehydrator. Given the current season, it probably won't turn off long enough to cool down.

Which dehydrator did you go with? I've been using the oven as well and would like something a little more portabe. Steelhead season would be a cinch!

I use an Excaliber dehydrater & love it.

We have an Excalibur dehydrator. It is excellent. We've had other brands and styles but the Excalibur is the best.
