My wife and I conducted a taste test of the Mountain House dehydrated food packs from our emergency pack closet that were nearing the expiration date and recorded the results.

Apparently, our Queen Bee moderator, Angela either read my mind or I read hers, because I just received notification that she posted a Mountain House taste test review on her blog today too.

Hopefully, both of our subjective taste result postings will be of use to folks in this group.

From the perspective of my wife and myself, we could live on Mountain House foods indefinitely, if we could afford the purchase price.

They are perfect for 96-hour kits and Bug-out-bags if you have a way to heat water. They weigh very little and are great 'comfort' food selections in emergency situations and to eat on hiking and camping trips.
