I find it very sad that spiritual preparedness seems to be an overlook topic here. Our spiritual preparations are a must if we truly want to be self reliant and prepared to meet all the challenges to come. I have recently discovered standard works apps for all the phone platforms. I know that the iphone has had one for a while but this one is great and for any phone you may have. They have them in fifteen languages with Tagalog and Cebuano coming in August. It is great to be able to study and keep language skills sharp while also having the English to fall back on. You get both English and a foreign language. I love having them with me all the time. Thank you to the designers for thinking about us who don't have an iphone!

A few years ago, I purchased laminated priesthood ordinance pocket cards for our family, all of our 96-hour kits and for the group at church. See them here.

Even if you are a fully conversant and active in giving priesthood blessings, stressful situations such as an emergency scenerio can do funny things to your memory. The wallet-sized cards provide the basics and specifics needed to restart a stalled memory when it needs to function well.

They are great stocking stuffers or thank you remembrances. Additionally, one should be in the wallet in your emergency kit along with a small vial of oil.
