'Tis the Season to Dehydrate'
The hum of our dehydrator fan seems to be a permanent part of the atmosphere at our home now. Our garden has produced bounteous crops for a month with several more to come. Almost everything that we can't eat in our regular meals is dehydrated and stored to enjoy later.
Our fruit harvest has started now too. We've always 'bottled' fruit, pickles, etc., This year we've added dehydration to our storage routine.
After a lot of study, we purchased a food dehydrator and slicer this spring. Click here to read my blog post about the brands and models that we chose at the end of our quest.
The revelation to produce and store food may be as essential to our temporal welfare today as boarding the ark was to the people in the days of Noah. ~ Ezra Taft Benson
