    to learn how to make stone blades is a very good skill to have...if something happens to your steel blade, or you dont have one to begin with, you will NEED this skill...so many tasks in the wilds demand a blade..this is a skill that requires some time to get good at...i would suggest starting now if you havnt already...learn to make a working blade, and practice using it...experiment with different kinds of rock...they all have different cutting attributes, and they all break different...you will get a differnt cutting edge from the differnt types of rocks...
    you can go online and buy rock (flint and obsidian) by the pound for practice..they also sell kits at places like three rivers archery...there are also classes taught that you can go to...some masters teach courses on this and are very worth the time in my oppinion, because i think this could be such a crusial ability to have if you don t have a steel tool...i have taken a couple classes on this and found them very productive...
