These work great. They can be made much faster and easier than this guy shows. We showed our students how to built one a few months ago during a winter survival class. It took less than a half and hour to build, and was adequate to very low temperatures. We had up to -37 that week. Here is a picture of Abdul, a good survivalist, in the one we built.
These are a great emergency shelter to learn, as you need no tools or supplies to survive extreme cold nights.
