Thread: "Warrior Mindset" & "Sharpening the Warriors Edge"

  1. "Warrior Mindset" & "Sharpening the Warriors Edge"

I just ordered these two books off of Lt. Col Dave Grossman's website Killology.com. I am very excited to receive them. Anyone else out there fans of Grossman's other publications "On Killing" or "On Combat"?

    Warrior Mindset

Those who place themselves in harm’s way are consistently told to focus, concentrate, and use their survival mindset. Rarely, however, are they trained as to how they can accomplish this. Too often it is assumed that mental toughness will automatically result from physical and tactical training, but this doesn’t always happen.
Mental toughness skills can be trained directly.

Warrior Mindset presents psychological techniques and training to develop Mental Toughness, a Survival Mindset, and a Hardened Focus. In an easy-to-read format, you will learn simple techniques to integrate psychological skills with physical and tactical training to add a dimension that is often overlooked, but necessary to achieve maximal performance excellence as a modern warrior.
If you only talk about mental toughness but don’t actively train for it, you haven’t developed your complete warrior.

Sharpening the Warrior's Edge is the first text which examines survival and combat performance from a scientific perspective. Author Bruce K. Most importantly, Siddle explores the psychological and spiritual components which establish the warrior mindset. This pioneering test is a must read for present-day warriors, or anyone involved in use of force, combat or martial arts training.

This is real mindset. Here I videod my bud Navy SEAL Tracker Dan getting hit with two tasers at once and still walking. This is the power of the human mind overcoming physical limits.
He did this twice in a row. The first time with one taser. Was shot, drew out his training blade and walked over and stabbed the guy tasing him. All during the 5 second duration of the shock.
