    it would have been interesting to see what happened with glancing blows with rifles and pistols. The helmet is stronger than i thought.

    It depends on how "glancing" it is. The more oblique the shot the "thicker" the materiel becomes and it cannot transfer the energy as efficiently into the materiel. That is why most new MBT (main battle tank) have angled turrets/hulls to increase survivability. I can tell you that you will have one nasty head/neck ache from any hits to the helmet. Them things are heavy. If you have a PASGT helmets, do your self a favor and get the upgrad pads for them and ditch the issue suspension system http://www.uscav.com/category.aspx?catid=327&TabID=1
