Not many folks have personally packed their own bulk storage foods in buckets. It isn't hard and only takes a little time and prior planning.
Once you've acquired storage buckets and lids, mylar bags and oxypacks, you are are ready to crack open those bulky bags of wheat, beans, oats, etc., and convert the bulk to manageable packages.
Smaller mylar bags and oxypacks can be acquired through the Bishop's storehouse at good prices. 5 and 6-gallon food grade buckets are available from numerous sources including restaurants and suppliers such as Emergency Essentials, etc. Larger mylar bags to fit the larger buckets are available from a number of online storage retailers. Be sure to get food grade buckets and lids and to make sure they are clean before filling them.
Take advantage of great local buys any time, knowing you can pack them yourself with confidence
The folks at P.A.W. Productions have created three short videos that walk through the process and offer good recommendations based on real world experience.
The revelation to produce and store food may be as essential to our temporal welfare today as boarding the ark was to the people in the days of Noah. ~ Ezra Taft Benson
