I just thought I'd ask what you'd be most interested in learning about here at LDS Preppers so we could focus a little more energy in providing information in that area. Please share with us what you'd like to learn more about from the poll questions. Then comment below (if you'd like) about specific things or areas that are not listed in the poll. We'll do what we can to provide more information in these areas for you!

I'd also like to learn more about field stripping/repairing weapons, trades like blacksmithing, gunmaking, soapmaking, etc. Things that we've grown accustomed to but would have no idea how to make once the conveniences of life (like the corner hardware store or grocery store) are gone.

Echo "Pahka" Gunsmithing, etc would be excellent, wife and I are currently scheduled to get HAM tng and license. After completing that basic on 27 Feb we are looking for further medical, gun repair, gardening, etc. txs, john drennen

I agree with Pahka. Soapmaking.. I don't mean going to Michael's and getting glycerin and melting it.. I mean making it from ashes and lard like the pioneers did. What about gun repair, smithy work, etc... Also, building a smokehouse to cure meat. Not to mention making weapons. Survival shelters for a family (that is bigger than 4 or 5.. I mean like 10 to 20 people!).

What about knowing the plants in your area, and their healing properties? What is edible, what isn't. etc...

Definitely interested in learning about living off the land, all those long, lost pioneer skills we've forgotten. Last fall I found a book while at D.I. that lists a dozen or so common wild plants and recipes for using them as a source of food. I can't wait until spring/summer hits to go gathering and see what I come up with and gaining a new skill.

Right now I'm looking for ideas on building shelves for the basement to store food & stuff. I have some left over lumber from building the house, mostly 2x4's and 3/8 plywood. Trying to find a design that gives me the most shelves for the least amount of materials. Thanks.

I dont think I could pick just one. The catagory I am "most" interested in is constantly changing, depending on my family's needs and our resources at a given time. All of the options are worthy of serious consideration and attention.

Edit: I went ahead and voted, since it is a poll afterall. I went with food and water storage, since aside from spiritual preparation this is the foremost area of counsel given by the First Presidency in terms of temporal preps. Get your food and water in order, then work outward from there.
