Re: How to organize a Ward Response Plan

I have posted in the download library the ward plan that I have litterally taught all over the world. It may not be the perfect plan but it is and has been tested in real disasters. Everytime I find out someone that is using this plan and has been in a disaster I call them up afterward and ask "what did not work, let's fix it". So, it is a plan that is constantly changing although not a lot lately. It was first instiuted in 1983.

If you choose to look at it there are 50 other supporting documents that go with it. Email me MoravecKennethB@aol.com and tell me you want the supporting documents emailed to you. Be sure to specify MSWord, WordPerfect or pdf.

Re: How to organize a Ward Response Plan

We are currently using the 3-steps model http://www.3steps.org for our ward/sector plan. The stake has recently agreed to adopt it for the whole stake with some rather puzzling modifications. They want to do away with the block captains and use the home teaching districts instead...for geographical reasons I feel like this would be problematic...but far be it for me to nay say. However, As sector leader, and ward prep rep for that matter, I do have discretion on how I want to run my sector/ward but I'm torn...follow the stake leaders who may not have read past page 2 of the booklet, or who also may have received direct revelation regarding this change, or continue in my current path and implement the plan as written and tested...hmm

I suppose I'm off to read Kenneths tried, tested plan...

So in the event of a disaster they want on 25% of the only the active mormons contacted on the last day of the month.

    Yeah, that makes sense????

    My sentiments exactly...remember I have discretion...so I think I'll be using it...
