Re: Organizing your ward/stake preparedness committee

Our Stake Prep committee, which consists of each of the ward prep specialists and the high councilor over preparedness, and the Stake Em comm specialist, met in January to organize an outline of the monthly themes for the year.

-Each month, on the first thursday, we have a 'train the trainer' class where one of us teaches the rest about the monthly topic. We also invite a member from each of our wards "perfect the saints' committees to attend. That way, they can also be a teaching resource because now they have the info and the em prep specialist isn't always teaching the classes.

-We also set a google group so that we can announce what each ward is doing in their individual wards, and the rest of us can announce in our wards too. So any given month, there should be several prep classes, basics and beyond, going on in our stake that are open for anyone who is interested.

    - Group buys on various things are also announced on the google group and then spread to the various wards from there.

That is what we are currently doing
