Topsy Turvy Gardening

I have limited space to garden in so I thought that the topsy turvy hanging planters might be a way to go. Does anyone know if they are worth the money? Do they work?

I tried them and it didn't work at all here in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Maybe it was just too hot (it's so hot here most of the time I'm surprised anything grows here at all).

There are plans somewhere on this forum of how to make one yourself much cheaper than buying one. Try it and let us know how it works out for you.
