    Store A Roll Of Plastic

Today my husband and I stopped at Lowes to pick up a few things including a roll of plastic to cover some free fiber board we picked up today. He picked up a relatively small roll and threw it in the cart and walked off. I saw a box with a much larger roll (20′ X 100′) and suggested we get it. It is 6 M thick–very heavy-duty. I love having it for our prepping storage. We used a 5 ft. length to cover two stacks of building supplies. We have used it to cover some of our firewood stacks that are dried and we will be using this winter.

So, why in the world would I want to store that much plastic? It is a great emergency item. It would be useful to cover a wind-damaged roof or a broken window. We can use it to cover our windows at night to black out our windows so if there is no electricity anywhere else, people won’t be curious to see lights generated by our solar system.
If you had a 100′ X 20′ roll of heavy black plastic, what do you think it could be used for? I would love to hear your ideas!
