Self-Reliance Home Storage and the UK

Hi Everybody

May I ask a question?

I know that the Church promotes Self-Reliance Home Storage in the USA and Canada, but does it do the same over this side of the pond?

My reason for asking is that there does not seem to be either Food stores or Canneries anywhere in the UK.

It's a church-wide teaching. However, there may not be canneries in most countries. It may simply be a demand issue. Sometimes it's a legal issue with countries not allowing food storage or many other reasons. But it is taught to store where legally able and within a budget, wherever you live in the world.

Also, I'm a member and do not represent the Church officially. This is just my observation...

Caught my attention. I was born in So. Ruislip. Dad was US Air Force Civil Service. How many members are there where you live? Maybe you can spark an interest and get them to build you what you need or adapt an existing facility. The church is really good about getting what you need if you talk to the right people. If I can help let me know.
