Arkansas Earthquake! Biggest yet!

We got 3 good jolts/bumps/sways at 11:02pm last night. USGS says it was felt in 4 states (4.7.) Aftershock at 11:20, barely felt it (3.8.) Two more aftershocks in the wee hours in the morning, slept through them! USGS says this one was the largest in over 40 years. Mother Earth is still alive and kicking! LOL Don't mind the little ones, but don't want any of the New Madrid fault stuff like in 1811 & 1812, if you please!

This makes the 4th quake I've felt in this area. It came from a new fault(?) near Guy, Arkansas. Every quake I've felt has been from this area, which is about 80 miles from here. Have never felt anything from the New Madrid fault (a much larger and historically deadly fault about 115 miles from here, in a different direction.)

With preps in place (what they are!) I just laid in bed and watched the show. Preps surely give a person a certain calmness when crazy, mind-bending things start to happen.

Ya, earthquakes put you in a completely vulnerable situation. I've been in a few, both the swayers and the shakers. We all know big ones will be coming... lets just hope we're best prepared that we can be.
