LDS Preppers Website & Forum Rules

Welcome to LDS Preppers, an online discussion board and website dedicated to helping others learn about and improve their preparedness levels.

Our threefold mission is as follows:

  1. Offer a dedicated resource that gathers the best information available into a single location.
  2. Build a large community and network to provide assistance, advice and direction to all those who are interested in becoming more prepared, no matter their current level of preparedness.
  3. Provide resources for all those who are involved in any kind of community or religious preparedness organization, specifically catering to those involved in LDS Ward and Stake Preparedness Committees.

Because this site was created and is maintained with specific standards in mind, we have laid out some basic rules that are expected to be followed.

  1. Maintain high standards. The content on this website will strictly follow the accepted standards of the LDS Church. No swearing, vulgar, crude or inappropriate language, sexual content, contention, apostate doctrine, anti-Mormon content, etc.
  2. Be polite. There will be differing opinions on various subjects within this forum. Please be respectful of other peoples' opinions and experiences. Discussions are welcome, contention is not.
  3. This is a private site. The content of this website is closely monitored by the Administrators and Moderators. All content that we feel is not appropriate for this site will be removed. Continued offenders will result in being banned.
  4. Registration. Multiple registrations prohibited. Allowing multiple users under one account is also not allowed. Administrators reserve the right to deny access to anyone without explanation.
  5. Spamming, trolling, flaming and personal attacks are prohibited. Any individual involved in these things will be banned.
  6. Useful contributions. Please feel free to post when you have useful information to contribute. Personal experience and special skills are particularly important here. But please keep the non-preparedness discussions to a minimum in the prep sections so that the majority of the forum remains resourceful. The General Discussion area is perfect for non-preparedness related discussions.
  7. Proper Citations. Much of the information on this site may be from other sites, books, brochures, etc. When using other people's information, please reference the original source. Post links to original websites if copied from another location so that they may receive proper credit for their work. Obtain permission from the owner of the material (if necessary/appropriate) before posting. Follow all laws and regulations.
  8. Original content. All original content posted on this site that is not copyrighted elsewhere becomes the copyrighted material of LDS Preppers. Posting material on free, public websites is allowed as long as the information is referenced to LDS Preppers with an active link which directs back to this website and as long as that material is not used for financial gain. Posting articles on personal blogs, websites, facebook, twitter, etc. is encouraged as long as above guidelines are followed. The same policy pertains to documents, pictures, files, etc.
  9. Relevant content. The content of this website is to stay within the forum topics. This is not the place to discuss personal dreams and visions, call-outs, tent cities, signs of the times, conspiracy theories (and conspiracy facts), politics, etc. There are other websites available with that focus.
  10. This is an LDS centered preparedness website. The content will have many references to teachings in the LDS Church from Prophets and other Church leaders. The members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) believe that a Prophet of God leads this church and is the mouthpiece of the Lord. Please respect this belief. Anti-Mormon comments will not be tolerated nor will any slandering or disrespectful comments about the Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, nor any previous prophets. The owners of this website sustain President Monson as the current Prophet of God and follow his counsel, as well as the counsel of the Quorum of the Twelve and other church leadership.
  11. Privately owned. The content of this website is not necessarily endorsed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka Mormon Church or LDS Church). Although we strive to maintain the standards of the LDS Church, there is no official affiliation.
  12. Any and all people are welcome here as long as the rules above are followed.
