I am stoked that you're a descendant of Captain James Willie??!! Awesome is an understatement. Please e-mail me any family history stuff/websites on him. Interesting that my great-great grandfather was Ephraim K. Hanks-- one of the rescuers. This is going to be a poignant trip for me-- I'll have to carry 20 boxes of Kleenex with me. Thank goodness they won't take up a huge amount of my 17 lbs. And thanks for the suggestion-- I will keep posting on trip preps and experiences.
