In the event of evacuation with no return time known
1- account for everyone
2- get everyone home
3- have a family prayer
4- see what arrangements can be made to take the contents of the CERT cache and scout trailer
5- check to see if dog can come
6- contact all of the kids and let them know what is happening and see if they will come
7- if they won’t come let them know the house is their's to live in and they will need to arrange for utilities and food until they lose the house
8- check on parents
9- offer to let parents come with us, if they are, take the trailer and go and get their food storage
10- start charging all rechargeable batteries
11- start washing any dirty clothes that are going and need cleaning
12- box up non-perishable food and bottles that are not already in boxes
13- bring food up in buckets & boxes and stack them in the garage
14- pull out pack up lists and start assembling items to go in the garage
(start with the cooking and shelter part as it is the heaviest and most bulky)
15- pack up clothes to go in packs and suitcases and put in the garage include temple clothes bags
16- pack up non-electric woodworking tools and put in the garage
17- if on Sunday, after midnight go fill up all vehicles that are going, if not on Sunday go immediately
18- leave good bye note for boss
19- print off and put in the mail box final payment letters with their respective checks be sure to include a newspaper cancellation letter
20- close all online accounts
21- back up the home computer and remove the hard drive
22- change the oil in the vehicles
23- check the vehicles fluids, belts and tire pressures - make adjustments as needed
24- put canvas luggage carrier on top of truck and put in suitcases and garment bags
25- hook up trailer
26- when the time comes to move the food to the church, take it over in the trailer
27- offer to help the neighbors move their food
28- remove solar panels off the roof and pack them to go bring up 6 of the 6 (12) volt batteries and pack them to go
29- pack up the rest of the 12 volt solar system from guest room
30- start packing trailer with the items to go that are in the garage - flat things on the bottom, chuck box to the front, batteries and fuel to the back (see the pack up diagram)
31- pick what ever fruit and vegetables from the garden and trees that we have room for and is ripe enough to take
32- clean out the safe and gun safe and put scrap books in the safe
33- put guns to be packed up in cases and ammunition and other weapons that are going in back of the truck
34- leave remaining guns and ammunition with Inti or a neighbor
35- put important papers to go in fire proof portable strong box
36- clean out refrigerator and freezer completely
37- pack up perishable food into the coolers, with ice, that will fit in the trailer or vehicles - throw everything else away
38- empty all inside garbage cans and put big garbage cans down to the curb
39- make sure the propane tanks on the trailer are the fullest ones
40- if we are allowed to take and extra vehicle put large propane tanks & extra tents, sleeing bags, and blankets inside (see the secondary list)
43- find someone that needs a car and give them the Camry with the title and any other vehicle not going
44- when the trailer is finished cover it with a tarp and tie it down
45- replace all batteries in FSR and HAM radios for fresh batteries
46- collect all batteries from other places in the house like remote controls
47- drain the fish tanks and flush this fish
48- if the dog cannot go try and find a neighbor to take the dog otherwise take him up to the mountains and put him down
49- put in mail box the “vacation mail hold” request
50- write good bye letters and put them in the mail box
51- eat a good breakfast (it will be the last one for a long while)
52- get a haircut
53- take a good hot shower (it will be the last one for a long while)
54- vacuum and clean the house if time permits
55- shut off utilities at the meters unless one of the kids is not going and they will stay with the house leave a key to the house somewhere the kids, not going, can find it
56- take a nap if time permits - it's going to be a long day
