I need your best and favorite food storage recipes. I also would like to know the recipes for times when you haven't been to the store lets say in two weeks, and you only use what you have in your pantry.

Example: I usually have the #10 can of tomatoes in my pantry. When I'm desperate I break it open and make tomato soup with grilled cheese on homemade bread. If this were your go to meal I would like for you to give the recipe for the tomato soup and bread with instructions. If you have a blog and the recipe is on there send the link.

If you are doing the Wendi Dewitt style of food storage what are your meals, and the recipes to create them?

Please send your recipes. I am attempting to make a recipe book for our emergency preparedness fair in October and of course I want the recipes for myself ;)

Thanks a ton

I make a point of canning several types of meat during a year. Salmon, elk, venison, pork and beef. We can always find a way to use it for meals. Salmon, olive oil, dried onions, salt and peper spread over bread or pilot crackers. Take a meat of your choice and cook up a gravy. Pour it all over rice. A simple chili (we store a pretty good spice rack with our supplies). That's a start anyways.

This is my specialty; I teach the concept of integrating food storage
and basic food into daily meals. I have 2 sites and a blog. I like to
take a list of what someone has on hand and give ways/meals to use
the supply they have. Instead of putting recipes here, just know they
are online as listed below.

A few of my favorites are:
"Chicken-Fried" Dinner Patties (meatless patties)
Mexi Lentils N' Rice
Pantry Pizza (dough is mixed/raised in a ziploc bag).....we freeze grated cheese, but I've made
this pizza with just the dry parmesan and even my pizza loving son thought it was good)
Vegetable Soup/Flaky Biscuits
Overnight Oatmeal Pancakes (good with applesauce instead of syrup)
